Den eigenen Weg zu gehen, beginnt manchmal damit, sich selbst wieder zuzuhören. Was brauche ich? Was hält mich fest?

Meinen Weg. Mit allem, was zu mir gehört.

Riding the Firehorse

Lyrics

Searching for wishes at the turning of the year,
I found a message online that made it clear:
“The Fire Horse is rising, its time has begun,
bringing fierce, bright energy beneath the sun.”
I took it as a sign, a promise, and a spark,
and sent it to my friends to light the dark.

Perhaps this energy would bring
the success we needed most of all,
a little luck, a stronger wing,
a chance to rise instead of fall.

I never thought that energy
could turn my whole life upside down,
could show me there was nothing left
to keep me tied to that old ground.
It told me, “Now the time has come—
step out, be brave, be someone else.
The road ahead is calling you;
it’s time to reach another shelter.”

Financial success was quick to find,
then everything began to change.
A storm of feeling filled my mind
and pulled my heart beyond its range.
I hoped no choice, no tangled thread,
would leave another dream unsaid.

Now I’m standing where I never thought I’d be,
between two men and two realities:
one is my husband, bound by law,
one is the soul I’m searching for.
Could this be the start of something old?
Another game the stars foretold?

Questions upon questions,
but the answers won’t appear.
I lie awake at midnight,
with the silence in my ear.
Wondering if these troubles
must bring the past undone,
wondering if our future
is a promise yet to come.

Chorus
I never thought that energy
could turn my whole life upside down,
could show me there was nothing left
to keep me tied to that old ground.
It told me, “Now the time has come—
step out, be brave, be someone else.
The road ahead is calling you;
it’s time to reach another shelter.”

Is this the time to make a move,
or only time to wait?
Should I trust the path before me,
or surrender to my fate?

Should I hold the reins tonight,
or let the wild road guide?
Should I choose the life that feels safe,
or the fire burning deep inside?

Questions upon questions—
some are answered, some remain.
But the year is still unfolding
through the sunlight and the rain.

The Fire Horse keeps running,
and the ending’s still unknown.
But standing still and waiting
has never been my own.

I never thought that energy
could turn my whole life upside down,
could show me there was nothing left
to keep me tied to that old ground.
It told me, “Now the time has come—
step out, be brave, be someone else.
The road ahead is calling you;
it’s time to reach another shelter.”

The Fire Horse keeps running,
and I’m holding on tonight.
I don’t know where it’s taking me,
but I’m ready for the ride.

Botanical Rarity

Lyrics

I claimed it for months, now at last it is mine,
Like waking from sleep after years lost in time.
I remembered the things I once carried below,
And ancient seeds in my soul started to grow.

I felt my strength rising, my spirit take flight,
I glowed in mooblue, wrapped in silverwhite light.
The shadows that covered the true self in me
Fell back into silence and set my soul free.

How lucky—I strengthened the light in my soul,
How lucky—I claimed it and made myself whole.
How lucky—the power came rushing back fast,
A light from the future with roots in the past.

Then meeting you again felt too strange to be chance,
Like something long waiting had asked for its dance.
Eleven-eleven kept flashing its sign,
For years on my phone, like a thread through the time.

You’re the best thing to happen in decades to me,
You opened a door and you taught me to see.
I’m always connected, wherever you are;
I feel your presence, though you may be far.

How lucky—I strengthened the light in my soul,
How lucky—I claimed it and made myself whole.
How lucky—the power came rushing back fast,
A light from the future with roots in the past.

But love isn’t simple; it pulls like a tide:
One moment you’re near me, the next you divide.
I reach for the closeness, then watch it retreat,
And wonder what’s real in the space in between.

This on-and-off rhythm can wear me down,
And when you’re far third parties are sucking on me and shadows come circling around.
So I called up the dark side that lives in my core—
Not to harm, but protect what I’m fighting for.

How lucky—I strengthened the dark in my soul,
How lucky—I claimed it and took back control.
How lucky—I know when to open or guard
The parts of my heart that have already been scarred.

The feeling once buried was finally heard,
Awakened by more than a promise or word.
The plant has unfolded its first leaves anew,
Reaching for sunlight, for silver and blue.

But it still needs protection, a shelter, a space,
Safe from the storms in a quiet place.
Let’s give it the freedom and room it will need,
To grow from a rarity into a tree.

How lucky—our roots had grown so strong,
How lucky—this feeling has waited so long.
How lucky—the first little green leaves appear;
I’ll shelter and guard them, but hold them with care.

How lucky—the plant is reaching for blue,
Turning its leaves toward a light shining through.
How lucky—we’re learning to nurture love’s bloom;
How lucky to hope that we both have a green thumb.

Silver and white, new leaves reaching above,
Strong roots beneath us, protected by love.
Something once buried is finally begun—
Growing toward light,
Under silver-white-blue moon.

Mute

Lyrics

Since we found each other again,
We share our lives from day to day—
“Good morning,” pictures, little thoughts,
And “Sweet dreams” when night takes day.
Every message brings me closer,
Makes me part of what you do,
But there’s one word I can hardly bear,
One word that cuts me off from you.

On good days, I’m your genie in a bottle,
Hiding and not dancing on your phone.
On bad days, I feel put back into storage,
Closed away and left alone.

Mute—
Such a little word, but it destroys my day.
Mute—
Like “Be quiet, disappear, stay away.”
I know it isn’t really your decision,
I know why it has to be that way.
Dear, I hardly dare to tell you—
But mute is the word that destroys my day.

I am vocal, I am talkative,
Communicative, words run free.
Loquacious and expansive—
Sharing words is love to me.
I’m expressive and I’m eloquent,
Every sentence builds a bridge.
Words are how I reach and touch you,
How I cross the distance in between.

Speechless, silent, voiceless, quiet,
Tongue-tied, wordless—don’t deny it.
Reserved, reticent, tight-lipped too,
Incommunicative—nothing gets through.
Taciturn, laconic, close-mouthed, still—
So many words for silence at will.
But whatever gentle name we choose,
The message I hear is:
“Shut up. Mute.”

I know this wasn’t born from your choosing,
So I learned to tolerate the pain.
Sometimes searching for a clever answer,
Some software trick to break the chain.
I know I’m more progressive,
I don’t go looking for a fight.
But I’ll take the risk of being discovered
Rather than hide what feels so right.

Mute—
Such a little word, but it destroys my day.
Mute—
It turns our colours into grey.
I understand the situation,
But understanding doesn’t ease the pain.
Dear, now I finally dare to tell you—
Please don’t lock my words away.

Mute—
You may only mean, “Not now, my dear,”
But all my heart can hear is, “Disappear.”
I know it isn’t really your decision,
I know why it has to be that way.
Still, mute is the word—
Yes, mute is the word
That destroys my day.

Don’t silence what we share,
Just whisper, “I’ll be back.”
One tender little promise
Could bring the colours back.

Hold on Tight

Lyrics

Another restless night,
Thinking of our connection,
Of moments burning bright.
Remembering the feeling,
The magic that we knew—
But all the space between us
Leaves me aching, missing you.

I wonder where this road will lead,
And fear what waits ahead.
Perhaps it would be easier
To leave it all unsaid.

I make a thousand reasons
To convince myself to go,
Thinking I could set you free
And ease the pain I know.
But losing you would break me
More than words could ever say—
So I fall asleep exhausted,
Trying to push the fear away.

For a few short hours, silence,
Then I wake before the light.
I reach again for my phone
In the stillness of the night.
And there upon my Instagram,
A message I could hardly believe—
My favourite Tarot reader
Had a message just for me.

That’s what he said:

— Someone is hiding feelings that run much deeper than they’re letting on.

They’ve spent a long time trying to rationalise it, suppress it or convince themselves that what they feel doesn’t matter.

But the Hermit reversed says those emotions are no longer staying quiet.

There’s history here.

There’s familiarity.

There’s something unfinished.

The past may have been inconsistent or distracted, but this connection still carries warmth, joy & a feeling of home.

And with The Star, Page of Cups & The Fool coming through, this feels like someone beginning to realise they may not want to keep walking away from what their heart keeps bringing them back to.

Sometimes the feelings we try hardest to bury are the ones that refuse to disappear.

If you know who this person is, share this with them. —

Not many people know
How much I trust his readings.
He never sounds artificial—
He catches hidden meanings.
Again and again, he sees the change
Before it comes in sight,
As if he knows what lies between us
Before it enters life.

And when I read those words again,
My heart began to rise—
A little hope, a little fear,
A future in disguise.

I believe there is a future,
A future meant for us.
When the road turns dark and difficult,
We’ll find the strength to trust.
We’ll turn this hope into a life,
Make our hidden dream come true—
Because something keeps on telling me
My road still leads to you.

Why us? I cannot answer—
Perhaps we’ve met before.
Perhaps we’ve known each other
Beyond a lifetime’s door.
Why now? I cannot answer,
But one thing feels so clear:
If we don’t begin this journey now,
We may not have much time here.

Reading in September,
Before the morning light,
I almost chose to walk away—
Then the cards said, “Hold on tight.”
There’s history and warmth between us,
A bond that time can’t undo.
And the feelings we once buried
Keep leading me to you.

Defining Home

Lyrics

Some weeks ago, we talked about
What “home” is meant to be.
I misinterpreted it at first,
But I think we meant the same.
To me, home is wherever
Those I’m deeply bound to are—
It isn’t drawn by borders,
And it may not be a place at all.

It may live inside a voice,
In the words somebody shares,
In a message from a loved one
That reminds you someone cares.
And wherever your beloved animals
Are waiting at the door,
That simple place of tenderness
Can feel like home once more.

Home—such an old-fashioned word.
Home—such an emotional word.
Home—such an essential word,
The feeling we are searching for.
Home is where the heart can rest,
Where you don’t have to stand alone.
It may not be a place on any map—
But you know when you are home.

When thoughts of home keep calling,
When they never leave your mind,
Perhaps you miss that feeling
In the place you occupy.
For home is where your intentions
Are not questioned every day,
Where everything you try to do
Is seen in a kindly way.

Where mistakes don’t turn to tragedies,
Where someone helps you make things right.
Where you are accepted as you are,
In the darkness and the light.
Where you can show your weaknesses,
Your worries and your fears,
Knowing they will not become
A weapon through the years.

Home—such an old-fashioned word.
Home—such an emotional word.
Home—such an essential word,
The feeling we are searching for.
Home is where the heart can rest,
Where you don’t have to stand alone.
It may not be a place on any map—
But you know when you are home.

Home may be a familiar voice,
A message glowing on your phone,
A gentle hand, a faithful heart,
A place where you are truly known.
No walls are needed, no frontier,
No promise carved in stone—
Sometimes home is simply someone
Who never makes you feel alone.

Home—such an old-fashioned word.
Home—such an emotional word.
Home—such an essential word,
The feeling we are longing for.
Home is where you lower your guard
Without regret, without disguise.
Where you are safe to be yourself—
And never have to hide.

Home may not be where you’re living.
Home is where your heart is known.
Where love is kind and you feel safe—
That is where you are home.

But perfect is the home you find
When you can leave the world outside,
Gently close the door behind you—
And know that you are safe inside.

Head and Heart

Lyrics

I woke before the morning light,
Too early to begin the day.
I reached for my phone to see
If the voice I follow had something to say.

Three long days without a lecture,
Then his message came at last.
It gave me hope I’d found the right door
And the courage to walk through at last.

Head and heart, beat as one,
Now I know the time has come.
What I feel and what I know
Point me where I need to go.
Head and heart, no more delay—
Open the door, step into today.
Head and heart, beat as one:
This is where my life restarts.

He said one chance could change my future,
Even the ground beneath my feet.
I’d held so tightly to what felt safe
Since something shook my faith in me.

But the pause had never been wasted;
The path was coming into view.
My confidence was coming back,
And now I know which way to choose.

Head and heart, beat as one,
Now I know the time has come.
What I feel and what I know
Point me where I need to go.
Head and heart, no more delay—
Open the door, step into today.
Head and heart, beat as one:
This is where my life restarts.

I won’t let an old hurt tell me
I’m not ready for what comes next.
The door I was most afraid to open
May lead me from a life I’ve outgrown.

I have so many plans and dreams,
And fears of what they might demand.
But I can bring my head and heart in line
And trust the strength I have.

With the blessing of those before me,
I’ll keep going down this road.
Three days, three weeks, three months from now—
How long it takes, I need not know.

I’ll make my plans and do the work;
Each small step will carry me through.
And when I reach the next open doorway,
I’ll know just what to do.

Head and heart, beat as one,
Now I know the time has come.
What I feel and what I know
Point me where I need to go.
Head and heart, no more delay—
Open the door, step into today.
Head and heart, beat as one:
This is where my life restarts.

When You Are Not Here

Lyrics

I wake too soon.
I reach for you.
An empty bed—
The cold comes through.

Your words, your voice
Can ease the night.
But I need you
Here by my side.

For years I slept
Quite well alone.
I never missed
What I’d let go.

A few short weeks,
Some nights with you—
You woke a need
I never knew.

I miss your warmth.
I miss your breath.
Your arms around me
While we rest.

I miss your lips.
Your soft caress.
And every day,
I miss you more.

Lonely, lonely, lonely—
When you’re not here.
Hopeless, hopeless, hopeless—
I need you near.

Forlorn, forlorn—
I face the dawn.
An empty room,
And you are gone.

Was I so happy?
I can’t say.
But I had learned
To live that way.

Why did you wake
This heart of mine?
Why did I let
You cross that line?

I would not risk
The hurt again
For something I
Could live without.

But you got close.
I let you in.
And now I feel
It all again.

I miss your warmth.
I miss your breath.
Your arms around me
While we rest.

I miss your lips.
Your soft caress.
And every day,
I miss you more.

Lonely, lonely, lonely—
When you’re not here.
Hopeless, hopeless, hopeless—
I need you near.

Forlorn, forlorn—
I face the dawn.
An empty room,
And you are gone.

“Let’s see what happens”—
Easy then.
Before I learned
To hope again.

Now every call
Leaves more to miss.
I need your touch.
I need your kiss.

I need your warmth
I need your breath
I need your voice
And your caress

Lonely, lonely, lonely—
When you’re not here.
Hopeless, hopeless, hopeless—
I need you near.

I miss your warmth.
I miss your breath.
Your arms, your lips,
Your soft caress.

I miss you more
Than I can bear.
I reach for you—
And you’re not there.

I want you close.
I want you near.
But losing me
Is what I fear.

I may draw back
Into my shell—
To find myself
And want you still.

The River of Life

Lyrics

They met beside the river wide,
With separate dreams and hearts open wide.
They pushed away from the waiting shore,
Not knowing what the current held in store.

Two souls aboard one little boat,
Learning together how to float.
No time to ask where they should go;
They took the oars and learned to row.

When the waves rose dark and high,
One pulled hard while the other tried.
Sometimes one bore the heavier load;
Still they kept to the winding road.

On the river of life,
They rowed side by side.
Did they share one dream,
Or outrun the tide?
They could weather every storm,
They could make it through the night,
But were they bound for the same shore
On the river of life?

The water calmed; they drifted slow,
Past fields of green and banks aglow.
One saw the distance, bright and clear;
The other stayed with what was near.

One feared the rapids down the bend,
And wished the quiet would not end.
But as they searched for solid ground,
The current turned them back around.

One felt the strain and gripped the oar;
The other pulled a little less than before.
Were they still moving with the tide,
Or drifting farther side by side?

On the river of life,
They rowed side by side.
Did they share one dream,
Or outrun the tide?
They could weather every storm,
They could make it through the night,
But were they bound for the same shore
On the river of life?

Amid the rapids, one looked back
And saw a stranger looking back.
Was it that soul that made them once leave,
Or just a dream they’d longed to believe?

Did the other feel the same,
See a stranger with a well-known name?
Through rain and foam, so far they’d roamed—
Had either found a place called home

One said, “Look how far we’ve come,
Through every storm and beating sun.”
The other said, “This isn’t right;
I never chose this course of life.”

The words fell cold upon the stream;
They woke them from a shared old dream.
They’d fought to keep the boat afloat,
But never asked which way they’d go.

On the river of life,
There’s more than one way home.
You can share the oars with someone,
Or learn to row alone.
You can choose another boat,
Find a course that’s yours to own.
There is still a world ahead
On the river of life.

If one had never meant to come this far,
The other could step ashore beneath the stars.
And could find another boat downstream,
With room for a heart and a different dream.

But before this ship sets sail once more,
one wonders what waters lie beyond the coast.
Before boarding once more,
one wonders in which direction the captain intends to row.

The Name I Claim

Lyrics

Some years ago, my second wedding done,
I was driving home beneath the setting sun.
A policeman stopped me on my way:
“Your driving licence, please. Your name?”

I searched my bag and handed over three:
My licence, car papers, my ID.
He checked each one, then looked at me again—
One woman standing there with three surnames.

My married names were scattered through the years;
I saw the reason for his doubts appear.
“What else about my life d’you want to know?”
I laughed; he smiled and let me go.

But driving home, a question crossed my mind:
Which of those names was really mine?

Is it right—a name is just a sound?
Is it right—just letters written down?
Is it right—a name decides my fate?
Is it right—it tells me who to be?
Is it right—one word can capture me?
Who am I beneath the names I take?

The years went by; I learned to get along
With a double surname, awkward, far too long.
I always had a little joke to tell
Whenever someone asked me how to spell.

I wore it like a coat that didn’t fit,
And told myself I’d get quite used to it.
A compromise I’d made along the way—
But never quite my own, though I would stay.

Is it right—a name is just a sound?
Is it right—just letters written down?
Is it right—a name decides my fate?
Is it right—it tells me who to be?
Is it right—one word can capture me?
Who am I beneath the names I take?

Sometimes even that name disappeared;
“Mrs.” and his full name were all I’d hear.
Not even my first name was left to say,
As though the woman in me slipped away.

The questions grew too loud to push aside;
There was a part of me I could not hide.
Why had I left my maiden name behind?
Why did his name take the place of mine?

Who am I, and what have I become?
Why am I here? What keeps me holding on?
Then through the silence, I began to hear
The name that had been waiting all these years.

The name I carried before I said “I do,”
The name that held the child I once grew into.
The name of every hand that helped me stand,
The roots, the love, the life I understand.

I’m not returning to the girl I was—
I’m claiming every woman I’ve become.
That name is not a memory left behind;
It’s mine to choose, to speak, to make alive.

It’s not right—a name is just a sound.
It’s not right—just letters written down.
It’s right—this name belongs to me.
It’s right—it holds my history.
It’s right—it carries all I’ve been,
And gives me room to choose who I will be.

I will not hide beneath another name.
I will not shrink to keep the past the same.
I’ve found my voice, and now I understand:
I’m taking back the name that made me stand.

My maiden name has waited through the years;
I speak it now, and all the doubt disappears.
Not as a shadow, not as a name I’ve lost,
But as the truth I choose, whatever it costs.

I know who I am, and I know where I stand.
I’ll write it, sign it, say it as I am.
The name I carried first, the name I claim—
I am

Morrigan’s Order

Lyrics

Years ago, beneath an oak,
I heard her name in wind and smoke:
The Morrígan, of war and change,
Who walks where mortal pathways range.

Raven, red cow, woman old—
Her shifting shapes, her power untold.

I crossed the heather toward my home,
Past standing stones, through fields alone.
A raven circled, dark and lone,
His shadow sweeping over stone.

His restless cries rang sharp and clear,
Like iron bells beside my ear.
He called, then vanished into blue;
A door swung open, light came through.

A herd was grazing on the green,
A red cow standing in between.
She caught my eye and turned my way,
Then drove the herd from where they lay.

They moved toward me, closing round;
Their heavy hooves shook all the ground.
Within their circle, warm and deep,
The old earth seemed to breathe and sleep.

She turned, then left with quiet grace;

Two powerful signals found me,
Two powerful signals showed the way.
One called for change above me,
One gave me strength to face the day.

Two powerful signals guide me
Along the road I’m traveling through.
With raven wings above me,
And red earth firm beneath my shoes.

I woke at dawn beneath gray skies,
With ancient thunder in my eyes.
A dream still stirred beneath the haze;
Then every sign fell into place.

Awake, I searched for what I’d seen:
The crimson hide, the raven’s wings.
Each path returned me to her name;
Each sign spoke clearly of my change.

Two forms, one power, one thread to trace:
The strength to change and rebuild my place.

Two powerful signals found me,
Two powerful signals showed the way.
One urged me on to end the old,
One gave me strength to face the day.

Two powerful signals guide me
Along the road I’m traveling through.
With raven wings above me,
And red earth firm beneath my shoes.

First came the raven, crying high:
Release the old and let it die.
An ending I must now pass through,
Though grief still trembles in me too.

Then came the red cow with her herd;
They circled me without a word.
Within that shelter, still and deep,
An ancient fire woke from sleep.

She turned away, her task complete,
And left the herd around my feet.
I claimed my life, my blood, my name;
I stepped through smoke and out of flame.

Two powerful signals found me,
Two powerful signals showed the way.
One woke the will inside me,
One gave me roots so I could stay.

Two powerful signals guide me;
I feel their strength in all I do.
My life is mine to steer now—
And I will see this journey through.

The trial is passed; I stand awake.
She did not come to see me break.
The Morrígan lent strength to me,
Then turned and let the silence be.

She leaves the herd, its strength now mine;
She trusts my steps beyond this sign.
Her work in me, for now, is done.
I face the path beneath the sun.

I lift my eyes.
I choose my way.
I bear the gift she gave today.

Never Stop Halfway

Lyrics

Years ago, with friends beside me,
I climbed a mountain, wild and high.
The final stretch was bare and rocky,
The summit reaching for the sky.

Some stayed behind; some climbed on higher.
I climbed on hands and knees alone.
Then halfway up, I stopped to rest there,
Looked down, and froze against the stone.

The world began to spin beneath me.
I gripped the rock with all my might.
Below, they waved for me to join them;
Above, their voices faded from sight.

I tried to make my way back downward,
But every foothold felt unsure.
Turning back could cost the summit
And all my courage to try once more.

So I stayed still until the spinning
Slowed enough to let me breathe.
Then inch by inch, I climbed on higher,
Shaking hands against the sleet.

Never stop halfway,
Never give up.
Never lose sight of your aim;
Don’t let doubt take hold of you,
Don’t doubt the choices that you make.

I’m still on my way.

At first, I thought my friends had left me;
The rocks were all that I could see.
Then round a bend, I found them waiting,
With room beside them there for me.

We caught our breath beside a boulder,
Then walked the final stretch as one.
Together, we reached the cross above us,
Our faces lifted to the sun.

Recalling that tour I found the questions
That crowd the silence in my mind:
Is this the road I should be walking?
Should I return to what’s behind?

The life I knew was full of chaos;
The life ahead has yet to show.
I stand between familiar voices
And somewhere I still long to go.

The past says, “Come back; we can fix this.
Forget your hurt and start again.”
The future offers no clear answer,
But calls me onward just the same.

Never stop halfway,
Never give up.
Never lose sight of your aim;
Don’t let doubt take hold of you,
Don’t doubt the choices that you make.

I’m still on my way.

A thousand reasons brought me this far;
They don’t dissolve because I’m scared.
I’ve heard the promises of changes,
Then watched them vanish into air.

I’d rather face an open future,
With hope still burning in my chest,
Than turn around and lose the chance
To find the life I haven’t lived yet.

Never stop halfway,
Never give up.
Never lose sight of your aim;
Don’t let doubt take hold of you,
Don’t doubt the choices that you make.

I’m still on my way.

Let the dizziness pass.
Let me breathe; let me stay.
Then take one more step toward the summit—
I won’t turn back halfway.

History Repeated?

Lyrics

Once again, the night won’t let me sleep,
I turn my restless choice around.
Did I choose the road that’s right for me,
Or circle back to familiar ground?

Am I walking toward a different life,
Or through a door I used to know?
Am I starting that same old story
From thirty years ago?

Back then, I silenced what I had a hunch,
And shut out every warning voice.
The cards foretold a love that wouldn’t heal,
But still I made that choice.

And time revealed that they were right;
I stayed through years of hurt and doubt.
Until I knew I had to leave,
And finally walked out.

Though leaving led me down a tangled road,
I couldn’t stay and lose myself.
And once those words were spoken,
This message came from someone else:

Your father or your grandfather
Has words for you today:
“You’ll see the truth come into light,
Though justice takes its time.

Someone played games with your mind,
And tried to keep you bound.
You felt the hurt beneath their words,
Then chose to turn around.”

“You made the choice to walk away
From love that caused you pain.
Your heart is pure; you need not fear
Or carry all the blame.

Your loved ones and your ancestors
Are with you on your way.
You’re held by life through darkest nights;
The truth will have its day.”

Those words brought comfort to my choice,
And gave me strength to walk away.
But still, the longing in my heart
Brought questions at the close of day.

I knew why I had closed that door,
But feared the one that lay ahead.
Was something calling me toward love,
Or was I ruled by fear instead?

Is it intuition, or an echo of the past?
A warning in my heart, or a shadow that I cast?
Not every new beginning has to end the same,
Not every open door will lead me back to pain.
I can take my time; I don’t have to run,
Trust what I’ve learned and how far I’ve come.
The past can teach me, but it won’t decide—
I won’t let yesterday keep love outside.

Then another message found me
As the doubts came rolling in.
I read the words in silence,
Then read them once again:

Perhaps you trust your inner voice,
But doubt the heart that hears.
When hope has broken in your hands,
New love can wake old fears.

A warning speaks of what is here,
Old fear recalls the pain.
But every story you begin
Need not end the same.

You needn’t rush or silence doubt,
Or know what lies ahead.
Take time to hear your quiet heart
And what your fears have said.

The past has taught you what you know,
But cannot choose your way.
Trust all the miles that brought you here;
Let love meet you today.

Trust what you’ve learned along the road,
And how far you have come.
Don’t let an old and aching wound
Decide that you must run.

You don’t yet know what waits beyond,
But you can turn the key.
Don’t close the door on something good
Before you let it be.

No—it’s just an echo of the past,
No—it’s just a shadow that I cast.
Not every new beginning has to end the same,
Not every open door will lead me back to pain.
I can take my time; I don’t have to run,
Trust what I’ve learned and how far I’ve come.
The past can teach me, but it won’t decide—
I won’t let yesterday keep love outside.

Choose Me, Choose Us

Lyrics

I’ve reached the edge
of what this silence can bear—
the fog between us,
the question I can’t outrun.

I need to know
what you truly feel for me,
and whether you’ll hold it close
when other ask you to leave.

I search your eyes
for something I can trust,
but every unanswered moment
makes the ground give way beneath us.

When you are near, I see it in every glance: you feel this too.

Somewhere deep inside,
we’re closer than we’ve ever been,
closer than anyone we knew.

But the nearer we come,
the more I fear the distance—
that what we found so carefully
could vanish before we name it.

I’m trying to believe
you’ll choose this when it costs you,
while wondering how much longer
my heart can wait in doubt.

Stay with me, stay with me—
don’t let this love slip away.
Say my name, say my name—
tell me you’re choosing to stay.

Take my hand, take my heart,
don’t leave me here in the blue.
I’ve chosen you, I’m choosing us—
now choose me, choose us too.

Choose me, choose us,
choose to stay.
Say it now, say it now—
don’t let our future fade.

I’ve come too far to turn away,
too close to let this break.
I’ve chosen you, I’m choosing us—
choose me for love’s sake.

Stay with me, stay with me—
don’t let this love slip away.
Say my name, say my name—
tell me you’re choosing to stay.

Long before I spoke the words,
I had already left
the life I used to live.

Now that chapter’s closed,
sealed by a conversation.
There is no safe return,
no old door left to open.

Every step toward you
has made the choice more real.

I gave up what I knew
believing in something that grew ,
but if you cannot meet me there,
I can‘t wait forever here.

I told you of the thread between us,
woven when we were young—
perhaps it began before.

After all these years,
finding our way back
could never be chance alone.

That thread is all I have
when doubt begins to pull,
and one more silence
could loosen it for good.

So if you feel this calling,
if you know this bond is true,
don’t let the future vanish
because it frightens you.

Stay with me, stay with me—
don’t let this love slip away.
Say my name, say my name—
tell me you’re choosing to stay.

Take my hand, take my heart,
don’t leave me here in the blue.
I’ve chosen you, I’m choosing us—
now choose me, choose us too.

Choose me, choose us,
choose to stay.
Say it now, say it now—
don’t let our future fade.

I’ve come too far to turn away,
too close to let this break.
I’ve chosen you, I’m choosing us—
choose me for love’s sake.

Stay with me, stay with me—
don’t let this love slip away.
Say my name, say my name—
tell me you’re choosing to stay.

I’m not afraid to stand alone,
but I’m afraid of losing you.
Take my hand and answer now:
will you choose me too?

No more silence,
no more doubt.
Say it loud—
we’re choosing us now.

Choose me, choose us,
choose to stay.
